○•○Following my animal instincts○•○ Kisa took in the sweet scent of the surroundings. Then she handed the lady at the gate a ticket and entered calmly into the big zoo. She would like to see the wolf exhibit being one of her favorite animals. It was cool to see all the animals at once. Somehow she found herself looking at giraffes and not wolves. Not like she minded the giraffes. She liked them too. She watched them. It was amazing to think that the giraffe and human both had only 7 vertebrae in the neck but their was such dramatic difference in neck length. Would it be cool to be able to be that tall. Seeing over things that she had to look around. Kisa marveled at the magnificent creatures before moving on. Next she found herself watching a pride of lions. How interesting it was, the big male was sleeping while some females looked over some youngsters. Kisa smiled watching the cute playful baby animals. She had moved from lions to penguins. She was no fan of penguins so she moved to a bird habitat area. The colorful birds took her breath away. This was certainly not her first visit but the beauty was always astounding. That was the thing with nature. Even though it could be quite violent, and quite scary it was also beautiful. The graceful flight of those birds was just astounding. Kisa took a deep breath of the steamy air. The tropical exhibit was nice but she was off to see more. She followed a flight of stairs carefully. Holding on to the railing so she wouldn't fall. But because she was so focused on the placing of her feet she wasn't paying attention to much as else. So she ended up bumping into a person. Her eyes flew up to the person. She blushed and began looking apologetic. "I'm sorry! My fault entirely." She brushed her hair out of her face. It was a clumsy mistake yet again. That was her problem she thought to much then messed up. Not a great thing but she could live with tiny mistakes.

Ahh....Zoo, Zoo, Zoo, Zoo~
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, the zoo wasn't one of his favorite places to be, but he was here anyway today. One of his friends had come down with a cold, and decided to stick him with his ticket. Oh well, right? throwing away this said ticket would have been a waste of money, and besides, he had nothing to do on this sunday afternoon anyways. So why not? There didn't seem to be any harm in going. He had handed his ticket to the little old lady at the entrence, pulled up a map, and walked in.
He walked around a bit then flipped open his map and looked at it. Now....what did he want to go see? The penguins, the lions, the alligators, or the giraffe? Hmm.....food. Thats what he wanted to go see. And eat. ''Hmm...there's a McDonalds built in here? Well, that's odd.'', Lan said to himself aloud. It was odd indeed, but I guess there were quite a few Japanese who love American burgers, so I guess it makes sense. ''So then I guess I'll just grab something to eat there then.'' He walked up the stairs while focusing on the map, and ended up somehow bumping into someone.
Its wasn't a harsh bump, just a small one. But nevertheless, they had bumped anyway, and just as she had apologized for it, he needed to do the same, just as any gentleman should. Now, she seemed to be quite a cutie here. And Lan was all for the cute. It was just something he loved. He patted her head, and spoke with a mellow, kind voice. ''Dont you worry about it. I wasn't looking where I was going either.'' Lan smilied at the girl.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Um....your picture...you didn't come to the park in that getup did you? 0 .0

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kisa inhaled in relief. She liked the way he patted her head, just like how she would pet her dog. She loved canines, but that was beside the point. he had a nice voice as well, gentle and kind. She blinked feeling a tiny bit awkward. She didn't know what to say really. If she started thinking about it she would think to much, so she just skipped to her name. "I'm Kisa Hanatomo." She held out a hand. A chilly wind moved her hair towards her face so she quickly used her other hand to place it back. She was a little self consigns at the moment, bumping into a stranger and then introducing herself hadn't been her plan. Then she realized he was smiling and cheered right up. She smiled to, noticing McDonalds in the background. She didn't know that it was here. She now felt hungry thinking about it. "I think I'm heading for the restaurant over there, would you like to come with?" She would go look at the wolves afterwords. she still had her heart set on that goal. But, taking a break from getting there and eating wouldn't be that bad. Plus she could watch longer if she knew she wouldn't be hungry. She wondered if he would agree. She wasn't so used to being out of the house. The maids she was raised by liked her to stay at home because of her health problems. Which reminded her as she thought of that she needed to take her pills. She had no choice but to at least get something to drink so she could swallow them. How she hated being stuck to medicine all the time. But then again it could be worse. Kisa was wearing a purple tank top, with a dark blue skirt. She had a few beaded bracelets hanging from her wrist. Her hair was left down like usual, sometimes she put it up though. Her blue eyes studied the stranger she just invited to eat for a moment. She had to say he was good looking. It was probably cause she had a thing for blonds, not that she didn't like any other hair colors. She continued to smile, he seemed friendly enough. She was by herself. A little company never hurt anyways. The more the merrier, yet again three is a crowd. Whatever she was fine with the offer. No second thoughts what so ever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lan Kamogawua. But you, my dear, can call me Lan
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He took his hand off her head, and shook her hand. ''Hanatomo Kisa? What a lovely name. Hmm...this might be jumping the gun a bit, but may I call you Kisa? I'm terribrly bad with formailities, so I usually perfer not to use them that often.'' And it was true. Lan was very friendly, so perfered himself to talk in a frendly matter to everone, when allowed of course. ''Oh, what about me? I'm sorry about that. I'm Lan Kamogawua. But you may call me Lan.''
He watched as she moved her hair out of her face as the wind suddenly swept it. She was cute indeed, and Lan's eyes weren't fooling him about that, not in the least. She had a cute little purple tanktop that quite complimented her eyes, and a blue skirt. Now, Lan was a one for skirts, but like hell she was going to find that out. He blushed a little thinking about her, and the let go of her hand. He quickly looked around ''Umm...''
'Saved by the bell', or so the pharse goes. He was indeed saved when she had asked about the McDonalds. If not, he would have just stood there like an idiot. But enough about that, McDonbalds was the topic at hand, not his flusteredness. ''McDonalds? Well, I was kinda just heading there right now, what a coincidence!'' Indeed, it was. Like they were meant to or something right out of a manga. ''Well, lets go then!'' He started off, looking back to make sure she was following.
Kisa is just fine! [/size] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kisa smiled, Lan and Kisa. That was fine with her, although because she was from a upper class family she was used to formalities. Not that she liked them, they were just so sticky. Like a robotic speech, not very natural at all. Thanks, Kisa is fine. I'll make sure to call you Lan. Her eyes followed his movements. Then she glanced at Mcdonalds again. "Yes, quite a coincidence isn't it?" Her voice rang like bells as she followed suit. Walking beside him. Her mouth was pulled up in an angelic smile. Just simply being herself she watched her footing again. But did her best to notice where she might be going. She walked in front as they came to the door. Going ahead and getting the door herself. She wasn't quite sure how to hold the door open from the inside so just waited quietly by the door on the inside. Taking a glance at the menu while she was at it. For sure she would like a bottled water. Not being one for the sugary sodas. She decided on getting the yogurt with the fruit in it. She liked that kind of a sweet. She looked at Lan. "What do you think of getting?" She glanced around looking for a seat. A bit mystified she had been to the zoo so many times and not noticed this building. She spotted a nice booth, it was next to a window but the sun wasn't shining straight through. It was a perfect spot, she hoped no one grabbed it while they ordered. Luckily there wasn't much of a line. She started for the counter and glanced to see if Lan was following along. She could see the smiling cashier. Just one couple in front of them in line. She tried not to think about it munch but somehow this did feel like a date. Kisa thought about it, whatever it doesn't matter if this is I mean he is cute. She sneaked a glance at him again. The smell of food met her nose. She was even hungrier now. Oh, french fries won't hurt she thought. Smiling, thinking of getting rid of her hunger. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Burgers! Fries! Soda! Boy, does America know how it's done!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Following Kisa, Lan stepped inside the McDonalds. The first thing he noticed was usually the first thing anybody notcied when they first walk in: the smell of greasy food. It smell was just magnificent to a hungry stomach. He moved over to the line, her following suit next to her.
He looked at the line. There was only one couple ahead of us, so it wasn't like a long wait or anything. But what really scared Lan was what was above that couple and the casier in front of them: the prices. Now Lan knew that things were usualy way more expensive inside parks than outside, but even so....it was still just too much. He sighed and then looked down.
He noticed Kisa looking at something also. It was a booth. It seemed to be quite a good one too. He then looked at the menu once more and then back at her to answer her question. ''Hmm...what should I get? I think I'm just going to stick with a burger and a soda. And what about you?'' After telling him what she had wanted, he pointed to the booth she seemed to be so interested in. ''Here, do me a favor and reserve that booth for us please? I would really appricate it.'' Lan was hoping she would accept as to not lose that spot to someone else later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kisa smiled and nodded. She reached into her purse and grabbed her wallet. She pulled out a lot, then handed it to Lan. She was from a upper class family, so this wasn't really all that much to her. Although it would easily cover the cost of the food. "I'll go get the seats, you order." She smiled then walked towards the seats while putting away her wallet. She stared out the window. Smiling as she noticed that she could see a exhibit of tigers. She liked the large animals. They were beautiful. Their orange striped pelts were just amazing. She liked big cats almost as much as canines. She sighed happily, letting her head rest on her hand as she spaced off watching them. It didn't seem very long. As she looked back towards the cash register she could see that Lan was already ordering. By the looks of it almost done. She looked back out the window and also noticed a polar bear exhibit. The huge white bears seemed a little intimidating. They were also pretty cool though. It was amazing how much nature could be found in a zoo. So many different parts of it rolled into one place. Animals you could only see in a zoo or in the wild. You never saw anyone with a pet polar bear. It was a little sad that they were all caged up though. But it wasn't that bad it looked like. They had pretty nice habitats and zookeepers made sure to give them all they needed. It might be a hard one keeping the animals from getting bored though. Kisa had heard that zookeepers hid food in the habitats so the animals could run around looking for it. Like a scavenger hunt maybe. Hiding them in hard places. Places the animals would have to think about to get their treats. Then sometimes they were taught tricks. Kisa had heard of dolphin shows. Dolphins were really smart it seemed. Kisa knew the most about wolves though. Wolves were a big interest to her. Maybe she might get a chance to see the American wolves? Her dad was doing business there anyways. Just a visit this summer? She wondered about it. Thinking like usual she found herself humming when her concentration broke. She looked at Lan, a smile on her face. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

....she....has....that much money? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lan looked at the money placed in his hands as Kisa had walked off. This...was alot of money. Was she like rich as hell or something? That was a suprise. Never thought Lan would actually meet someone rich at someplace as not-rich as the zoo. On the bright side he didn't have to pay these outragous prices. But still...this wasn't what a gentleman is supposed to do! It just felt way too weird. But there's no use in arguing. Bet if he were to take it back she would have just told him she wanted to pay and blah-blah-blah.
So he went through the prosses of ordering and what-not, got the food in his hands, and began the walk to the table. Apon arriving, she caught Kisa in the act of humming to herself for some odd reason. She immidatly stopped though when she noticed his existance putting down the food and taking a a seat right across from her. He met her eyes, and then giggled a bit. He was growing red a bit, and quickly looked to the food. He pulled out Kisa's order, and then his own. He put his hands together. ''Thank you for the food!'' He then unwrapped his burger.

Thanks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kisa also said her thanks. Then grabbed her purse pulling out a bottle with various pills laid out in order. She found which ones she needed and pulled them out. Grabbing her drink she swallowed them. She put it all away then grabbed a few fries. After eating a few fries she looked up. "Do you come here often?" She had always, always loved the zoo. She dismembered being taken to the zoo by her nanny when she was little. Her mother used to bring her here when Kisa was a baby. Kisa pushed the thoughts of her mother away so she wouldn't get sad. Thinking to much again it seemed. It was not good for her to think to much on the past. She had a spoonful of her yogurt and fruit parfait. This food was really good. "I really like the zoo."She said this without looking away from the food. She grabbed her water again and had a sip. She thought about the zoo. Which made her think of the wolves. She really couldn't wait to finish eating so she could see them. Then she remembered the animals just out the window. "Lan look out the window aren't the animals beautiful?" She smiled staring off at them again. Absentmindedly still eating while doing so. She could see a tiger sleeping on a rock. It's pretty orange pelt striped by black. "Did you know the tiger's skin is striped to? Each tiger has a different pattern. Zebras are that way through different stripes for identification. Its hard to tell though. It throws off predators that try to pick out an individual zebra." Somehow Kisa started talking about stripes. A genuine animal lover. She couldn't help knowing a lot about them. She really, really liked wolves though. "Lan? You want to go see the wolves with me after we're done eating?" She smiled, she could probably tell Lan a lot about wolves. She liked studying their behavioral patterns. They were just amazingly fascinating. Kisa knew a lot about animals, she sometimes wondered if she looked like that type? She smiled having a good time here of course. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What about Tigers and Zebras now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Had Lan come here often? ''Well, no actually. It's my first time. I never really was one for the animals, ya know? Dunno why.'' And it was true. Lan wasn't much for animals. He had a dog once, but that's just about the closest thing he really had to animal bonding. But by the way she was going with all this, it seemed safe to assume she liked this place. And that she came here often too, which is why she seemed to know alot about this place. It was actually pretty cool.
Lan finished his urger and moved onto his fries. The food was delicious...no matter how fattening it was. It just was so worth it. If there was a food of choice, it just had to be a good burger. Though he wishes they weren't so unhealthy. I mean, looking good for the ladies was a priotity, and it was hard to pull that off with fat issues on your plate. But still, every once in a while was nice.
After the talk about zebras and what-not, he smilied. ''Well, you sure know alot. That's pretty cool.'' He then heard her ask if he wanted to see the wolves with him. ''Sure, I don't have a problem with that. As soon as were done eating, I'll walk you over.''
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~She found that her fries were finished. She half smiled, she thought they tasted great but it would have been healthier to just get another fruit parfait! Well It didn't matter the walking she had done before hand compensated for it. She liked exorcise anyways so it would be no problem earning her walking back. She would probably go swimming when she got home. Her pet dog loved playing in the pool in the back yard. She smiled taking his words as a compliment. She was glad to share some knowledge. It was also cool that she was spending time with a person who was having there first visit to the zoo. She liked the way he said he would walk her. The phrase reminded her of walking home. Which was really nice. She was happy he had agreed. She had started thinking again, absentminded finishing her food. It tasted really good the sweet fruit and yogurt together. She barely noticed she was done eating. She just looked out the window and started humming again. She did this a lot at home. Being an only child and her parent over seas she had no one but nanny and some maids. Them and her dog, who always made her smile. She was just passing the time waiting for Lan to finish eating. She was humming a favorite tune. Not really a song, spacing out didn't make her hum actual songs. Kisa had a voice for singing but didn't use it much and didn't sing often. She just hummed, unless at a party. She had been to a few parties and found she liked dancing and karaoke. Not that was topic she would usually think about. She was just spacing out thinking and not thinking. She had never really been able to answer the question that usually broke her trance at home. Kisa-chan? What are you thinking about? she remembered her nice nanny's voice call out. She started feeling like she needed some new things to think about so she might be able to answer the question. Then she looked at Lan, "Lan, what are you thinking about?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What do you mean 'What am I thinking'?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lan was now done with his food after eating a bit faster. It seems she was done with her food first, and as a gentleman, he didn't want her waiting too long. It just seemed rude. But she was I guess somehow entertaining herself with the humming. It was kinda an odd humming though...it wasn't like a song, or at least any song I've ever heard of, but it wasn't just flat and dull, like a robot. She then turned her head back this way as Lan prepaired everything to get thrown away, and asked him a question he was never asked before.
....What was I thinking? Well that was a hard question to answer...Lan didn't really know what he was thinking at the moment. Plus, he had never been asked that question before, so it just kinda seemed odd to hear it.''Umm...well...that's an odd question. I really don't know. I guess if I had to choose...I'm just thinking about the situation were in. I mean, if you look at it from someone else's angle...it almost seems like a....a date. Ya know? Well....not that we are on one or anything, but yeah, you get what I mean.'' And even though Lan didn't want to think of it that way, that's kinda just how it turned out to be. Accidental, mabye, but it still just looked like a date. He looked at her for a second, then glanced to the side. ''Umm....what are you thinking about?''

Answered!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kisa listened recalling thinking about that same thing earlier. She smiled, it was funny that they think so alike. It was amazing to complete strangers could think so alike. Which was true, they really did just meet each other on the street. No real knowledge about the other. Then he gave her the same question. She tried to sum up her thoughts to find the most reoccurring topic. Not an easy task at first but she could probably do it. "Well I was thinking those fries are going to haunt me." She laughed, clearly a sarcastic joke, her expression changed to a more serious face before she said it. Then she smiled, "Well after you said that I remembered thinking that a little while ago. I didn't think it was bad thing so I didn't say anything. But before that I was mostly thinking about random things." Kisa watched him throwing away the food with a happy expression. She got out of seat to stand up. Looking towards the direction of the wolves. She still couldn't get them off her mind. She just loved the magnificent predators. She found them so interesting. If you learned about them you could realize how cool the pack hierarchy was. The job of being Alpha most have been a tricky job sometimes. The way they talked to each other, body language more often the vocalization. It was a fact that they did vocalize though. Wolves were well known for their howling at the moon. She had seen pictures in books and TV had shown baby wolves trying to howl like their elders. Howling was a way of locating a separated wolf and stating the packs presence in a territory. She stopped herself for a moment. Before she went over everything she knew about wolves. Sometimes she wondered if she would ever get to touch one. That would be amazing! She smiled loooking at Lan again. "Know you have me thinking about going to see the wolves." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wolves? What a Grand Idea!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lan giggled along with him as she made the joke. And as for her answer...she was just thinking about random stuff. Now why didn't he thing of that? He should have said that instead of the whole little stupid 'it looks like a date' thing. But then again, she was apperently thinking the same, no? Well that was a bit of a suprise. As to why it suprised him though, it was just cause it didn't seemed like nothing of that sort would ever come to be. Especally between him and her, a stranger whom he had just met.
He looked over to her after throwing the trash away. ''Wolves right now? Sure. I'm up for it.'' He was actually kinda looking forward to it. Wolves always kinda seemed cool in thier own way, though he knew nothing about them. Apperently this girl might know some stuff about them, seeing as she was so interested in them. He had walked to the door and held it open for he. ''After you, Kisa. Off to see the wolves.''
Kisa smiled, happy to go see her favorite animals. She thought Lan was being a real gentleman. She went ahead of him, leading the way. This time pretty positive where she was taken them. She walked at a steady beat. Just ahead of Lan. She turned at a corner with a sign the had a picture of a wolf on it. She slowed down a bit then stopped in front of a railing. She turned to look inside simply beaming with joy. It was so cool, the wolves looked much the same since last time she saw them. She looked to see if Lan was over here watching as well. She pointed at two wolves. One of them was on it's back, showing its white belly to the bigger one that seemed to be growling with its tail raised. "The one with its tail raised is dominate over the other one. Wolves live in packs, the most dominate male and female are the alphas. They are like the leaders and the only one supposed to reproduce in the pack. If any other female has pups the alpha female gets pretty upset. Sometimes she allows it though. By the look of it the one dominating the one on the ground is the alpha male. I think their names are posted over there." she pointed to a little stand with some sort of a plaque on it. She walked over to it and read it. Strange names, it didn't matter to her though. The wolves were very cool and now she knew them a bit better. It took her a moment to get a hold of her knew knowledge. The zoo wolves were all sprayed or neutered it seemed. Which explained why there were never any pups for such a long time. She stared at them again. They were pretty, agile, and skilled predators. She thought they just deserved being loved. Well that was in her mind anyway. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
